Make your next discovery

How to play

Pick a quiz, follow your curiosity and learn as you go. Take your time: speed never determines your score.

Choose. Play. Discover.

Choose a difficulty and a quiz mode on the quiz page, then press Start. Answer each question and use Next to continue. A wrong answer breaks your answer streak, but your run carries on.

Eight ways to play

Play all eight modes on Easy or Medium, Daily Five and Country of the Day without an account. After a run, you can choose whether to register for future XP and saved progress.

Country silhouettes

Recognise a country from its outline. Some shapes focus on the mainland or main island group so they remain readable.

8 questions per run

Flags

Match the national flag to one of the four countries. Look closely at its colours, symbols and layout.

8 questions per run

Country facts

Choose the right capital, region or reported figure. For number questions, use the year and unit shown in the question.

Higher or lower

Use the first country's displayed figure as your reference. Decide whether the second country's value is higher or lower.

Locate it

Drag to move the map and zoom for a closer look. Select the country asked for, including when the clue names its capital or highest point.

Put them in order

Arrange four countries in the direction shown, then check your order. Drag them or use the move buttons. All four positions must be correct to earn the answer points.

Mystery country

Start with two clues and identify the country. Reveal up to two more text clues and an outline if you need help. More clues reduce the answer reward.

Find your level

Difficulty changes the countries, clues and distinctions you are asked to recognise. Guests can choose Easy or Medium. Hard still unlocks as account XP grows.

Points now. XP when you finish.

Correct answers add points during a run. When signed in, finish every question to receive XP and completion bonuses. 100 points equal 1 XP, so a 400 point answer contributes 4 XP to a completed account run. Guest practice gives you a score, but no account XP.

How do completion bonuses work?

A perfect regular run adds 4 XP on Easy, 8 XP on Medium, 12 XP on Hard. A perfect Mystery run adds 6 XP on Easy, 12 XP on Medium, 18 XP on Hard. Daily Five has its own 17 XP perfect bonus.

Your best answer streak within a completed quiz earns one bonus: 4 in a row: 2 XP; 5 in a row: 3 XP; 6 in a row: 4 XP; 7 in a row: 5 XP; 8 in a row: 6 XP. This bonus is awarded once per run, rather than at every streak milestone.

Points, XP, ranks, badges and passport stamps are learning rewards. They have no cash value.

A fresh quiz each day

Daily Five

Play five questions from five different formats, all at Medium. Everyone receives the same daily set.

A perfect run with no extra Mystery clues earns 40–42 XP, depending on the formats included. Extra clues reduce the answer award.

Country of the Day

Identify a country, locate it, read about it, then answer a capital and a fact-recall question.

Anyone can play. Signed-in players can earn up to 40 XP and collect a passport stamp on their first completion for that country.

Each daily activity has one new set per UTC date. Guests can replay that set for practice; account rewards are awarded once. New quizzes arrive at 00:00 UTC, which may differ from midnight where you live.

Country quizzes and your passport

Choose a country profile's quiz to collect its passport stamp at your own pace. Find it on the map, compare land area, answer a geography question, order countries by population, compare density and discover a country fact. Finish all six to collect the stamp with an account, even with mistakes.

Your first stamp can earn up to 18 XP: 2 per correct easy answer and 4 per correct medium answer. Replays earn no additional XP or stamps. Country of the Day is a separate daily challenge with its own reward.

What happens to your progress?

If I leave before finishing

The run is unfinished and its points do not become XP. There is no resume option: leaving the quiz or refreshing the page means starting a new run. An unfinished daily can be restarted with that day's questions, until the daily changes. Previously completed progress stays saved.

A run can also expire after two hours. If a completed result cannot be saved because the connection drops, use the retry option on that result page before leaving.

Playing as a guest or with an account

Guests can play all eight regular modes on Easy or Medium and both daily quizzes. Guest scores do not earn account XP or advance your rank. Completed guest statistics stay in that browser; they do not transfer to an account or another device, and clearing the site's browser data removes them.

After finishing, you can create a free account if you want XP, ranks and saved results across devices. Hard still follows account rank. Passport stamps require an account and are not awarded retroactively for guest runs.

If I get an answer wrong

You receive no answer points for that question. Review the correct answer and continue; mistakes never end the run. You still earn the points from your correct answers when you finish.
